
Ragin Ramen!
Dry ramen noodles are a great value and can be the backbone to a tasty meal if given a boost from additional ingredients. To make your ramen noodles count, try this recipe.
You will need:
- 4 cups water
- 2 packages ramen noodles with seasoning packet
- 2 cups assorted vegetables, frozen or your choice of fresh (carrots, broccoli, cabbage, spinach)
- 2 eggs, beaten or ½ cup cooked chicken, beef, pork, fish or shellfish
Get an adult to help you with this recipe.
In a large saucepan, put water on to boil.
If using fresh vegetables, chop thick ones like carrots and broccoli into small pieces. Tear leafy veggies.
When water comes to a boil, add all vegetables and cook for 1 minute. Add noodles. Boil on medium-high for 2 minutes. Add meat or eggs. (If using eggs, beat them together in a separate bowl before adding to hot soup.) Stir until cooked, about 1-2 minutes longer.
Remove from heat and stir in one seasoning packet. Spoon into bowls.
